What are the Government Per Diem rates for New Orleans, LA and which meals are covered by my registration?
The M&IE for New Orleans is $71.00 per day. The calculation for the first and last day of your travel is 75% of the $71.00 = $53.25. The conference lodging amount is $101.00. On your travel voucher, you must adjust your M&IE rate for the meals provided to you at The FedForum. You must deduct the appropriate amount for each meal provided during your attendance, whether or not you chose to partake in those meals.

  • The value to be reduced for breakfast (provided Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) is $12.00.
  • The value to be reduced for lunch (provided Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) is $18.00.
  • Per diem is reduced on travel days from $71.00 to $53.25 minus any provided meals.

What transportation options do I have to and from the airport?

Ground Transportation
Taxicabs
A cab ride costs $33.00 from the airport to the Central Business District (CBD) for one or two persons and $14.00 (per passenger) for three or more passengers. Pick-up is on the lower level, outside the baggage claim area. There may be an additional charge for extra baggage. Taxis are required to offer a credit card payment option.

Airport Shuttle
Airport Shuttle is the Official Ground Transportation provider for the New Orleans International Airport and includes a fleet of clean-burning, propane-fueled vans and minibuses. They offer shuttle service to and from the airport and the Hilton New Orleans Riverside Hotel for $20.00 (per person, one-way) or $38.00 (per person, round-trip). By staying in the host hotel you will receive a $3.00 discount for a round-trip shuttle, or $35.00 (per person, round-trip). Click here to make your reservation where you can pay with a credit card.  Upon making your reservation, you will receive an electronic ticket that serves as your confirmed shuttle reservation. There is a three bag per person limit. Call 1-866-596-2699 or (504) 522-3500 if you have questions or need to change your shuttle reservation. Advance reservations are required 48 hours prior to travel for all ADA accessible transfers. Please call in advance of your travel date for the specially-equipped shuttle to be reserved. Ticket booths are located on the lower level in the baggage claim area of the New Orleans International Airport. What is the Government gift acceptance policy?
Associates of the Executive Branch of the Federal Government are subject to the Office of Government Ethics (OGE) Standards of Ethical Conduct. Therefore, GSA wants to ensure that any gifts offered do not result in violations of the OGE regulations. Federal Government associates subject to the OGE regulations may not accept a gift(s) with a market value of more than $20.00 from any single exhibitor during the span of The FedForum event (not to exceed $50.00 from the same source in a calendar year).

Promotional items, gifts, and exhibitor-sponsored events are considered gifts under the OGE regulations, as are food and drink (with the exception of modest items of food or refreshment such as soft drinks, coffee and donuts, offered other than as part of a meal).

How can I make sure my special needs will be accommodated at The FedForum 2013?
Any registrant requiring attention to special needs, including dietary restrictions, should include them when registering online. Is there a dress code for The FedForum?
The attire for all FedForum events is business casual. Recommendations include collared-shirts, slacks, and skirts. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes. A blazer or light sweater may be needed in the meeting rooms.

What is The FedForum Cancellation Policy?

Attendee Cancellation Policy
Refunds for registration fees may be given if your cancellation request is received by
A-S-K Associates, Inc. no later than June 14, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. EST, however a $100 fee will be applied to all cancellations. No refunds will be given after June 14, 2013. Attendee substitutions may be permitted provided a written release from the original registrant accompanies the substitution. There are no exceptions. Attendees are responsible for cancelling all hotel reservations directly with the hotel.

Exhibitor Terms and Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received on or before June 14, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. EST will be assessed a penalty of 25% of the total booth cost.
